Style African Family Academic Reparation Initiative

Safari Initiative 2015 embrace more than just a Safari tour or a “Sister City” arrangement, but this is a concept whereas an African Country embraces a city and while both a city embraces a Country and each enjoy Cultural, Artistic, educational and family embrace. Specifically African/Americans whose ancestors were torn away from the Continent of Africa over 400 years ago will adopt a fun and enlighten agenda that embrace programs that repair negative concepts while a formal ceremony is adopted for many who will travel to an African Country and is formally embraced as family and honorary Citizens as the selected country.

The Selected Country and City of embrace is the City of Memphis, Tennessee and the East African Country of Kenya the birthplace of the father of President Barack Obama. Kenya is chosen because it is the most poplar tourist destination in the Continent of Africa and with the election of Barack Obama the most poplar and desired location for most Americans desiring to visit the Continent of Africa. Kenya is an English speaking country with an infrastructure that can best support this mission.

Project Scope: Formal Diplomatic Arrangement

Memphis 9th District Congressman Steve Cohen was the first United States Congressman to get a resolution passed apologizing for slavery in America will make the symbolic journey to Kenya with a contingent of Memphis citizens whereas African/Americans will be Presented Honorary Citizenship Certificates from Kenya President Mawai Kabaki and Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga.

The Safari Initiative 2015 embraces all of the dreams aligned with a Safari Adventure and trekking the path of our beloved President but this program initiatives are a great opportunity for education, reparation, community and family values.

The historic election of Barack Obama Jr. as the 1st African/American President of the United States whose father Barack Obama Sr. is of Kenyan roots has generated an interest of many Americans interested in learning about America's 44th President's African heritage. Also many African/Americans desire to travel to African to learn about their own African heritage.

This Safari Initiative Project will be a real life Inter-active School project that gives students a real lesson in History, Civics, Science, Geography, economics, Government and almost any subject taught in school. This proposal allows the City of Memphis School system to issue a high school credit to students who sign up and complete the many various projects that will be associated with the project.


T he signing up or registration to this project will be a modernized IT or information Technology website created and designed by Memphis City School Students. We will lobby for President Obama to make a greeting on this site as well as the Prime minister or President of Kenya. The video on the site will include Greetings from our Secretary of State, our Senate, Our Congress, Governor, Mayor and other Government officials. This project will be a living Civics class and an interactive education class.
