When it comes to visiting Africa or just having a simple conversation about Africa most African/Americans in 2010 have an endemic ignorance about Africa. The prejudice and negative thinking about Africa among African/Americans is so bad that such thinking is a disease that actually cause anxiety of fear, disgust, embarrassment and hate of Africa and there has been physiological damage to many people of African decent. This tour is a is more than a vacation for some African/Americans but an actual healing. White people who for years have enjoyed going to Africa and they do not travel to Africa with the draconian images of all of Africa being a backward uneducated savage people. In short many African/Americans have been uninformed and mislead about Africa and many are fearful to travel to Africa thinking they will die, starve or for many they are simply too embarrassed about Africa thinking they would only see backwards and distress people. Our Safari 2011 is our effort to educate and prepare African/Americans to make the long journey to Africa. This fear and prejudice about Africa is so bad that many African/Americans do not want to talk about it. Please note that our society had condition us to hate Africa its culture and its people. Our election of Barack Obama as President of the United States has caused many to take a new look at Africa
Why is there a need for an African/American style Tour to Africa?

These are Whites Rockclimbing in Kenya. White bike, raft, jog and have a wonderful time in Africa. Most African/Americans will first have to learn about Africa and then venture out like Whites have done for years

I am in Ethiopia outside the balcony of my hotel taking this picture of Whites about to go for an adventure. This is not the type of travel African/Americans are prepared to do in Africa at this time in history.
This is the Holiday Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where I stayed during my first visit to Ethiopia. Each room has a balcony. Notice the age of whites and there are seniors in the group. My friend Abera is a tour driver and his dream is to take a group of African/Americans on a tour in Ethiopia. I explained to my friend that African/Americans are not ready for such a tour. Notice those gas cans or perhaps drinking water. If you drive so far and find no gas station and you have to carry your gas, that is a sign that that is too much nature and history for African/Americans. My Ethiopia friend could not understand why Black People in America would be afraid to camp. There is no way I would even to present such an idea to African/Americans. When going on Safari in Kenya I show tourist hotel campsites that have a bathroom, shower, swimming pool and dinning room. The average African/American is not going to backpack, trial bike sleep in no woods. Further most African/Americans could not take more than one day at Safari. When we say we are planning an African/American tour we understand the culture of African/Americans. Please note that any Whites who take this tour with us are welcome to be a little more aventurous and we can arrange such adventure. For my part as the tour organizer let me consider the best way to make this tour as comfortable as possible for everyone.
