Please note that the "Safari House Museum"is our private residence however we are in line with President Obama's idea of "Community Service" and we decided to open our home to the public as a means to introduce African culture and education to our community. Futher this is the "First All African Furnished home in America" and we want to promote the concept of "African Style. "We are available for scheduled and private tours only please call us at              901- 452-4330 and schedule a tour.   The tour rates are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. This tour takes a minimum of one hour just to see all of our things.  Almost everything in this home is original custom African furnishings. This schedule is temporary and will change in the future.  Most museums have public funding, a full time staff, security and all the bells and whistles that makes the establishment a viable operation.  In the future we hope to get the proper funding and grow to a full time operation presently we are working around our current lifestyle.  It is okay to call us on the fly, if we are available we will open anytime even on short notice.  Thanks in advance for inquiring about our tours.  We love to show the untouched beauty of Africa.
